Mt Pleasant Kindergarten
Due to damage sustained in the February 22 quake Mt Pleasant Kidsfirst kindergarten is tagged for demolition. Currently Mt Pleasant children are attending kindergarten in neighbouring suburbs but it is expected that Mt Pleasant Kidsfirst can be operating again from a Mt Pleasant site from early in 2012.

Mt Pleasant Tennis Club
Mt Pleasant Tennis Club has 4 courts and club-room in King Park at the top of Quarry Road. At present the only road access to the courts is down Rangatira Terrace. There are club days on Tuesday am, Thursday am, and Saturday pm, also junior tennis coaching on Saturday am plus casual games at other times.

Mt Pleasant Yacht Club
We have an active Learn to Sail programme for both Juniors and Adults, a Coaching programme for advanced learners, and Club racing most weekends during the summer. Estuary Club series are held in conjunction with Christchurch and Pleasant Point clubs.
This is the easiest club in Canterbury for launching and retrieving boats with plenty of ramps and wide shallows.
