Welcome to Mt Pleasant! The Mt Pleasant Memorial Community Centre and Residents Association’s (MPCC) vision is “To nurture and facilitate a dynamic, friendly community that is resilient and sustainable.”
If you are new to the area or have only just discovered our website the Association invites you to join us on any of the following levels.
- Sign up for our free regular email newsletter. This will keep you fully informed of all local events and advice regarding earthquake and related matters.
- Become a volunteer – email coordinator@mpcc.org.nz . We are always on the lookout for people who would like to help us with things like newsletter distribution, information stall staffing, administration tasks, event organisation.
- Become a financial supporter of the Association, only $15 for a household or $8 senior single. With the loss of our centre we have no income generation potential – a strong membership base is needed for us to do our job.
- Become a Street Coordinator. MPCC has joined forces with Canterbury Neighbourhood Support http://christchurch.getsready.net/ to recruit, train and support a local network of Street Coordinators to help build our community’s neighbourliness and hence our resilience in times of adversity.
