>Community Concert 6 March
Saturday, March 5th, 2011
Information for you below, please forward to people you know in Mt Pleasant and suburbs near by:
1. The previously advertised EQC meeting to be held on Monday at Mitre 10 is for builders only – not the general public. The Association was misinformed about the exact nature of this meeting. The Association is considering holding a community information meeting if this is wanted but needs to know what kind of questions people have in order to determine what sort of meeting would be useful – please feedback.
2. FREE Community Concert and Sausage Sizzle
This Sunday, 6 March at 5.30pm at the Mt Pleasant Community Centre, Mc Cormacks Bay. Starring Rob Innes singing classic hits from 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. Our community hall has been checked today by Opus engineers and has been cleared as safe so let’s join as a community and have a break from the cleaning up and earthquake talk. Sausage sizzle at 5.30pm – Rob Innes, who is gifting his time to Christchurch communities hard hit by the earthquake will be there to entertain us from 6.00pm till 7.30pm. Bring along your own refreshments.
3. The Mt Pleasant Medical Centre and McCormacks Bay Pharmacy in Soleares Ave are open and operating normally as is the Ferrymead Medical Centre and Pharmacy and Sumner and Redcliffs centres likewise. The recent Council bulletin circulated to residents ommitted these centres.
