Join the McCormacks Bay Restoration Project

Friday, August 17th, 2018

Have you noticed how Mc Cormacks Bay is looking more and more beautiful?
The reeds are starting to colonise the wetlands and the native plants are establishing in the park. This increased vegetation will provide habitats for birds and makes the bay an increasingly enjoyable place to visit.

Three years ago a group of volunteers, with help from the City Council Park Ranger, started the McCormacks Bay Restauration Project. Once a month they get together to give their time to plant, weed, water, mulch and prune. If you would like to help on the occasional Sunday afternoon we would warmly welcome you. Tools and afternoon tea provided.
We will get together from 2-4 pm. Look for the Park Ranger truck on 19th August, 16th September, 21st October, 18th November and 9th of December.
