You are welcome to join us for any of our regular groups that meet at the Centre. If you have a group or a club that you’d like to run, we’d love to support you with that! Get in touch here and we will do our best to make it happen.

Looking forward to seeing you there!
Electric cars now seem to be here to stay, but will they eventually be able to replace all those internal combustion engines, or will they stay a niche option? We'll explore the history of the electric car and how we got where we are, and then I'll address some of the key questions people have about the transition:
Are electric cars ready and up to the job?
What about the costs involved?
Can the grid handle the increased load?
Have we just replaced one environmental problem with another one?
How does the situation in New Zealand compare to other countries?
I'm afraid I do have a scientific background so there will be some graphs but don't let that put you off, and do come armed with your own questions which I'll attempt to answer!
Join Tom Rose Thursday 4th of August 7.30pm MPCC Hall - please note this date differs from advertised in the Pleasant News and is the correct one.

We are introducing a new community event called “Speaker’s Corner” starting in April.
